A quick rundown of what Talia is, how it's different from a rideshare app, and how rides and payment actually work.
No. Talia isn't a marketplace that dispatches whichever driver happens to be nearby. It connects you with a specific driver you choose — someone you know, or someone you've found and vetted through their profile — for an ongoing personal driving relationship. Every ride happens within that established connection, not an open marketplace.
You can browse driver profiles in the app and send a connection request. The driver reviews your request and decides whether to approve it. Once approved, they're added to your driver list and you can start booking rides with them directly.
Talia is free for riders — no subscription, membership, or booking fee. Drivers pay a membership to use the app; riders never do.
No — never. 100% of your fare goes to your driver. Talia doesn't process payment and isn't a party to that transaction.
Your driver does. Each driver sets their own per-mile or hourly rate, minimum fare, and airport flat rates. Talia calculates and shows you the quote based on their rates — we don't set pricing.
Yes. You can connect with multiple drivers and choose between them whenever you book a ride.
Directly — Venmo, Cash App, or cash, whatever you and your driver both support. Talia doesn't process payments or hold funds on your behalf.
You can remove a connected driver from your driver list at any time from your profile.
No. Drivers on Talia are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of SWVP LLC. They set their own schedule, availability, and rates, and are solely responsible for the transportation service itself.
